ADP#200003 - Establishment of Detox Unit Capacity Enhancement of the Existing Eleven Drug Addict Rehabilitation Centers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. SH: Rehabilitation Center for Drug Addicts Dera Ismail Khan.

Upon the directions of Worthy Director-General M&E System P&D Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a visit of the umbrella ADP scheme under Social Welfare Sector was conducted by the Divisional M&E Team D.I. Khan Division to check the service delivery of the Detox Unit established in Rehabilitation Center for Drug Addicts at Dera Ismail Khan.

The worthy Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in a meeting held on 19.08.2019 under his chairmanship, in the Chief Minister Secretariat has directed Social Welfare Department to initiate a scheme for strengthening of the existing 11 (Eleven) Rehabilitation Centers by the provision of Detox and Rehab units under one roof with the capacity of 100 beneficiaries at a time of each center. A detox unit has been established in the existing rehabilitation center D.I.Khan was established in a rented building, in order to enhance the capacity of the existing center and motivate drug addicts and provide treatment and rehabilitate them free of cost, and provide guidance to the affected families for proper treatment of drug patients. Furthermore, the Detox unit will provide rehab and vocational training to the detoxified patients enabling them to be self-reliant and become functional again in society.
